The straight answer

A big new park with a mixed first year

  1. What it is

JUNGLIA Okinawa opened on 25 July 2025 in the Yanbaru forest region of northern Okinawa. The park groups itself into five themes: nature adventure, Okinawan entertainment, Okinawan food, a scenic spa and Okinawan goods. The rides are the draw, from a safari vehicle that meets a T-Rex to a glide over a forest valley and two suspension-bridge courses.

  2. What it isn't

It is not a walk-up park where you queue for each ride in turn. Several headline attractions run on a same-day lottery in the park's app, and some need a paid Premium Pass or run only on event days. Plan the day around that, not around a count of rides.

  3. How the first year went

Reports after the first year described attendance well below projections, and visitor accounts are mixed: praise for the rides, complaints about heat, rain and app friction. The guides set out both sides, and what you can control.

  4. The ticket you book here

The Klook tickets on this page cannot be cancelled once booked, so pick a date with a weather margin. The 1-day ticket is the baseline, and the Premium Pass is an add-on for the rides you care about most.

The park, zone by zone

The park, zone by zone

The main attractions, as the park describes them. Each entry says how you get on: standby, app lottery or Premium Pass.

Safari

A safari vehicle, then a T-Rex

Dinosaur Safari is a standby ride, so no reservation pass is needed. The vehicle crosses a savannah where herbivorous dinosaurs stand close, then bumps along a rough road into dense jungle where a T-Rex attacks. The park lists it for age 4 and over and 95 cm and over.

Sky

A glide over the forest valley

On Sky Phoenix riders spread their arms like wings and glide at speed over a forest valley. It needs a reservation pass from the app's same-day lottery, 132 cm and over, and a weight under 120 kg.

Spin

Yambaru Tornado and Titan's Swing

Yambaru Tornado drops riders toward the forest, then throws them up into open sky while spinning, and it needs 120 cm. Titan's Swing is a swing ride that the park describes as cutting through the wind as you dive into the great outdoors.

Canopy

Two courses above the trees

Tree-top Trekking is a suspension-bridge adventure over the jungle with seven challenge points, including a large gap and wobbly platforms. Sky-End Trekking is a suspension bridge in the sky. Tree-top Trekking runs on a same-day app lottery, and the park lists Sky-End Trekking among its limited timed-entry attractions.

Buggy

Buggy Voltage

Two buggy courses run through the outdoors. The Fun Adventure Course is described as a buggy adventure that will make your heart race, and the Adrenaline Challenge Course tests your driving technique. A passenger seat on Buggy Voltage needs a Premium Pass.

Small

Finding Dinosaurs and Yambaru Friends

Both suit young children and have no height limit. Finding Dinosaurs sends children after a lost baby dinosaur through tunnel-like trees, over a swaying suspension bridge and into a dark cave. Yambaru Friends is a chat with Jan, a Yanbaru kuina character, and a shisa called Shishi.

Shows

Water, music and night shows

Jungle Splash Fes is a water festival, Tam Tam Tram is a tram that plays instruments, and Kachashi Party and Wild Beat are live music shows. Jungle Night Fes and a fireworks show run only on event days, so check the park's calendar before you plan an evening.

Table

Dining, the spa and the view

Panorama Dining, Wild Banquet and Tropical Oasis are the park's food venues, Infinity Terrace is a viewpoint over the park and SPA JUNGLIA has ocean and forest views. The spa is a separate ticket, or a park-and-spa combination.

Event days

Gravity Drop and the event-day rides

Gravity Drop is a free-fall ride, and Human Arrow and Bungee Glider are further thrill attractions. All three run only on event days. Gravity Drop needs a Premium Pass, because park admission alone does not grant access.

Attractions are added, paused and retired, and some run only on event days. Check the park's attraction list for your date. Heights and ages are the park's own, and they apply however you buy.

Six points that decide whether the park fits your trip.

Non-cancellable

Every Klook package for the park is valid on the selected date and cannot be cancelled once booked. Choose a date with a weather margin, and confirm your whole party can make it.

Premium Pass

A paid add-on, not part of admission. It gives priority access to named attractions, and one is needed per participant. It does not promise a wait time.

Heights and ages

Dinosaur Safari asks for 95 cm and age 4 and over, Yambaru Tornado for 120 cm and Sky Phoenix for 132 cm. Check each attraction's page before you plan.

App and lotteries

Reservation passes for Sky Phoenix and Tree-top Trekking come from a same-day lottery in the park's app. Download it before the visit.

Clothes

Skirts, sandals, high heels and thick-soled shoes are not permitted on Sky Phoenix or Tree-top Trekking, and umbrellas are not permitted on the rides. Bring rainwear.

Distance

The park gives about 90 minutes by car and about 120 by direct bus from Naha. Build the day around the transfer.

Planning the day

Planning the day

  • Pick a date with a margin

The ticket cannot be cancelled, and Okinawa's weather can change a ride day. Leave a spare day in your trip and avoid tying the date to a flight.

  • Install the park's app

Ride lotteries, consent forms, the park map and wait times all live in the app, and the park suggests registering your 1-day ticket in advance to speed up entry.

  • Dress for the ride list

Wear trousers or shorts and closed, flat shoes that grip. Bring rainwear, because umbrellas are not permitted on the rides, and a hat for the sun.

  • Decide on the pass before you pay

Pick the one or two rides you most want. If both are lottery or event-day attractions, the Premium Pass is the only way to secure access in advance.

  • Plan the transfer

The park gives about 90 minutes by car and about 120 by direct bus from Naha. Allow extra time for traffic, and decide how you will get back at the end of the day.

  • Keep the north for a second day

Churaumi Aquarium, Kouri Island and Nago Pineapple Park suit a separate day, or a wet one. They are different kinds of day from the park, so do not stack them on top of it.

FAQ

Questions travellers ask before booking

Is JUNGLIA Okinawa worth it?

It is if you want a full day of thrill rides and forest courses and can plan around an app, lotteries and weather. It suits a short, flexible visit less well, because the Klook ticket cannot be cancelled once booked.

Can I cancel my Klook ticket for the park?

No. Klook tickets for the park cannot be cancelled once booked, so choose your date carefully. Every package is valid on the selected date.

Do I need a Premium Pass?

Not for admission. The Premium Pass is an add-on for priority access to named attractions, and the park requires one for Gravity Drop. Buy it for the rides you most want, since it shortens a queue but does not promise a wait time.

What is the Quick Visit 1-ride ticket?

Park admission plus one ride on one of five standby attractions: Dinosaur Safari, Yambaru Tornado, Yambaru Friends, Finding Dinosaurs or Treasure Fight. There is no time limit on your stay, and a limited number go on sale each day.

How far is the park from Naha?

The park gives about 90 minutes by car and about 120 minutes by direct bus, and says travel times vary with traffic. The northern location means a day trip spends hours in transit.

Is the park suitable for young children?

Partly. Ten attractions have no height limit, including Finding Dinosaurs and Yambaru Friends, but Dinosaur Safari and Tree-top Trekking need 95 cm, Yambaru Tornado 120 cm and Sky Phoenix 132 cm. Children under 3 are admitted free.

What should I wear?

Trousers or shorts and closed, flat shoes. Skirts, sandals, high heels and thick-soled shoes are not permitted on Sky Phoenix or Tree-top Trekking, and umbrellas are not permitted on the rides, so bring rainwear and a hat.

What rating does the park have on Klook?

Klook shows 4.2 out of 5 from about 2.3K reviews. Reports from the first year were mixed, so read the ride rules and check your date before you rely on the number.
